Second Language Acquisition and Assessment Electronic Dialogue Journal As a graduate student at Boston University, I took a course in Second Language Acquisition and Assessment with Professor Irujo. One of the course requirements was to write a weekly electronic dialogue journal with a graduate student at Central Missouri State University who was taking the same course with another professor. The two professors were using the same textbooks, so students had a common intellectual experience and could raise and respond to each other's questions. I was paired up with a Swedish student, and we exchanged ideas addressing topics pertinent to second language acquisition over the course of a semester.
